Ollie Watkins has emerged as a player that Liverpool are looking at as an alternate to Alexander Isak, per Football Insider.
Watkins is a mainstream Aston Villa striker, scoring 14 times in 32 Premier League appearances this season.
Last season, 19 goals were contributed by Watkins at Aston Villa in 37 English top-flight outings.
When it comes to overall PL stats, the 29-year-old striker has blasted 73 goals and 32 assists in 178 matches.
Watkins’ current deal can keep him at Villa Park until the 2028 summer.
Isak’s overall numbers are better, but Watkins does not seem far behind.
Isak has scored 21 times in the PL this season, taking 29 games.
Since the 2020-21 PL season, there has been no such campaign where the former Brentford striker has not scored less than 11 goals.
