Ibrahima Konate, who is a key centre-back at Liverpool, might be another player in recent times that Real Madrid might get as a free agent next summer (per Macra).
In the 2025 summer, right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold mainly joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. Real have paid a little sum for getting him before June 30 for the Club World Cup.
Konate made a move to Liverpool in 2021 from Sochaux. He took around two seasons before becoming a key mark player for the Reds in the summer of 2023.
Losing the French international on a free transfer next year will be a massive blow for LFC, as Konate will be just 27 years old in May 2026.
So his peak years are ahead. Hence, it would be key how the Reds would make him sign a new deal.
Last year, he played 31 games in Liverpool’s PL-winning season and scored even goal. It is far better than the 2023-24 season, where he played just 22 times in the English top-flight. However, last season was the one where he stayed injury-free.
