Joao Pedro is one of the key targets of Newcastle United this summer. However, the latest reports are suggesting that Chelsea might take the deal from the hands of the Magpies.
Joao Pedro is just 23 years old, scoring 19 goals in 58 Premier Legaue appearances for the Seagulls.
The Brazil international had a productive 2024-25 season for Brighton & Hove Albion, blasting 10 goals and providing six assists in just 27 outings.
The Blues have signed Liam Delap recently. Adding Pedro means they are looking to have a decent backup in case things fail with Delap. ‘
Pedro has a contract with Brighton until the 2028 summer, giving Fabian Hurzeler’s side a chance to get the right fee from his transfer.
Newcastle and Chelsea are in the Champions Legaue for the 2025-26 season, so either way Pedro has the chance to play in Europe.
