Monaco, who are looking to sign France’s Paul Pogba this summer, might get a possible fight from cash-rich Al-Ittihad (per Foot Mercato).
Pogba’s second stint at Juventus did not go well, as a positive drug test gave him a ban. Now he is free to play for any club.
Pogba is 32 years old, so there are some decent years left in him to play football at the highest level. The 2018 World Cup winner went to Man United in 2016.
Due to his ability to do various things as a midfielder, the fans expected him to score like a striker and defend like a defender, other than being a central midfielder.
Not to forget that same Pogba looked great for France back then. Possibly, it was a bad decision for Pogba to join Man United back then. Real Madrid and Barcelona were also keen to sign him from Juventus.
Several football experts feel that Pogba could have done a lot better at the club level during his peak years.
As top European clubs are not behind Pogba anymore, a move to Monaco or Saudi Arabia might work.
