Bayern Munich have identified Brighton’s winger Kaoru Mitoma or Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo if they miss out on the deal to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.
Gakpo has proven in the Premier Legaue that he can score goals and create chances. In the second half of the 2024-25 season, the Dutch international looked well.
There are high chances of the German champions getting Williams. However, the other two options are not bad at all.
In fact, there are chances that Gakpo might need a good season to take his game to the next level. He has shown some signs of growth last season while helping Liverpool win the Premier Legaue title.
Bayern need fresh legs to make a good run next season and win the Champions as in the Bundesliga, they are already very good.
So either way, all three targets have the potential to deliver overall.
