Cody Gakpo has found a decent touch at Liverpool in the 2024-25 season. Now he might be making a move away from the English champions this summer, with Bayern Munich interested in the Dutch international.
As per Florian Plettenberg, there are two clubs other than Bayern who are looking at Gakpo. The move might come as a surprise to several LFC fans, as he played well in the 2024-25 season.
18 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances in all competitions last season clearly show that Gakpo had a productive season.
His current deal with the Reds ends in the summer of 2028, so there are three more years in command of Liverpool for keeping the Dutch attacking midfielder.
Gakpo has scored 25 goals and 11 assists in 95 Premier League appearances since joining the club in the middle of the 2022-23 season.
Last season, he contributed 10 goals in the PL for the first time.
As several English clubs are adding quality players this summer, Liverpool’s transfer market deals have to hit perfectly.
