Napoli finished the 2024-25 season well, winning the title in style by just one point. It was a massive victory for manager Antonio Conte, who won the Italian top-flight title in his first season in charge.
Conte brought Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku to the club in 2024, with both players leading the Blues to become the Italian champions.
McTominay, who was considered average at Manchester United, won the Serie A MVP title. And Lukaku was able to score 14 goals and 10 assists in 37 Serie A games last season.
Both of the players looked sensational under Conte. Now, the arrival of Kevin de Bruyne might work wonders. He joined the club officially on 12 June 2025, leaving 10-year span at Manchester City.
In the second half of the 2024-25 Premier Legaue season, the Belgium star showed that there could still be high-level football left in him.
Napoli are also in talks to sign Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho, who could take things forward with great potential.
Conte is known for demanding players from every club he goes to. This is why it could be a costly summer for the Italian champions. But they have a strong team to look for winning the first-ever Champions Legaue title next season. Hence, De Bruyne’s arrival might be the turning point.
