Italian football legend Simone Inzaghi has become the new manager of Al-Hilal.
Inzaghi, who made Inter Milan reach the Champions Legaue final last season, lost both the UCL final and Serie A title race recently. As a result, Inter were not able to do anything productive in the 2024-25 season.
Inzaghi has signed a deal for two seasons with Al-Hilal. The mega Saudi club has sealed this deal ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, starting June 15.
As per strong reports coming from Saudi Arabia, Inzaghi will receive 30 million euros per season.
Al Hilal are first non-Italian club to take the services of a 49-year-old as a manager. Inzaghi’s first job as a head coach came in 2016 with Lazio. He stayed there until 2021 before making a move to Inter Milan.
In the 2023-24 season, Inzaghi led Inter to win Serie A.
In the 202-23 and 2024-25 seasons, he made Inter Milan reach the UCL finals. However, they lost the title-winning match both times.
