Ange Postecoglou is hours away from leading Tottenham Hotspur to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-finals second leg away from home.
The opening leg in North London finished as a 1-1 draw last week. Spurs, who are having one of the poorest seasons in the English top-flight, have only the Europa League journey left to make this season finish on a high note.
Postecoglou, as a manager, is getting a lot of hate from the Spurs fans. Losing the quarter-final tie might lead to his sacking.
Hence, the game against Frankfurt has become crucial for the former Celtic boss.
Ahead of the game, he was asked about his future at Spurs.
Postecoglou said: “Anything other than that, particularly in terms of me, I don’t really have much thought process that thinks about my career or what I’m doing in that way.”
In 2023, Postecoglou left Celtic to join Spurs to win silverware. However, his second season in North London has turned nothing short of a nightmare.
37 points in 32 games have placed the Whites 15th in the domestic top-flight season. Having lost 17 PL games, three more defeats would make Spurs lose 20 matches out of 38.
