Travis Head, who has become one of Australia’s leading batsmen in all three formats, feels that the team is capable of playing spin and pace well in the same match.
Several top players of Australia have taken retirement, with just four players left from the side that played in 2015.
Early this month, Australia lost the ICC World Test Championship final to South Africa in England. However, Head feels the new generation of Australian players are ready to shine at the very best level.
He said ESPNCircinfo: “I think we’re prepared for anything, really, and prepared for maybe both [seam and spin] in the same game.”
“We could be starting the game and then it could shift into different modes and plans of attack. So, as a batter, you’re just sort of planning for anything at the moment. And then once you get a look at the lay of the land, come up with a plan, and try to cover all bases.”
Travis Head has become one of the top cricketers – and it is sure that much of Australian cricket would move around him.
