Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn has said that his relationship with boxing Patrick Brown is more about business than personal. Brown made his professional debut on Mar 28, 2025.
His first fight took place at Altrincham Ice Dome, Altrincham, England on Friday.
Brown beat Federico Javier Grandone by TKO in the fourth round to win his first professional boxing fight. Patrick is famous for his ability to sell tickets.
In British boxing, selling tickets helps a fighter a lot in the professional ranks by generating good sums. It prompts a fighter to make a deal with a better impact overall.
In 2019, Brown took part in England Boxing National Amateur Championships and won the heavyweight title.
Eddie said to The Stomping Ground (YouTube channel): “PEOPLE THINK WE’RE CLOSE – IT’S BUSINESS!”
Hearn sees that Brown’s fame in England is something that can be used as a great tool to generate better sums and promote things well overall.
