From one of the top footballers to an injury-prone player, Neymar’s career has been filled with many injuries in the last seven to eight years.
In 2025, the Brazilian forward made a move to his childhood club Santos from Al-Hilal.
Neymar was playing for Santos in the Brazilian Serie A Championship, where he suffered an injury in the 34th minute.
Yet another injury impacted the former Barcelona star a lot, making him leave the pitch in tears.
On Sunday, the 33-year-old forward returned to action after a six-week thigh injury against Fluminense.
Three days later, on Wednesday, he started the game against Atletico-MG but met with an injury in the first half.
Santos coach Cesar Sampaio did give some updates about the hectic situation and said: “It’s still too early to give any definitive answer, we don’t have a diagnosis yet.”
“Now we really have to pray that it’s not something that will keep him out for a long time.”
Neymar left Barca for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. He stayed in Paris until 2023 but did face several injury issues.
He then made a move to Al-Hilal in 2023, but was unable to play more than three times in the domestic league for the Saudi club in two seasons.
He did miss the World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Colombia due to an injury.
