Karun Nair is a part of India’s squad for the five-match Test series against hosts England, starting June 20. Nair had to work hard for three to four seasons at the domestic level to open up India’s Test squad doors.
In the Indian Premier Legaue 2025, he looked well while representing the Delhi Capitals. KL Rahul, who is a childhood friend of Karun Nair, backs his friend to make a stronger comeback and play for India for years to come.
KL said: “We started playing cricket as 11-year-old boys together and we have been on this journey ever since. Both of us have had our ups and downs. He got his opportunity, scored a triple hundred, faced a bit of tough time after that for a lot of reasons.”
Nair is the only Indian cricketer, other than Virender Sehwag, to score a triple hundred in Test format. But he was not able to get a consistent touch after making a sound impact.
Hence, Nair had to start things again from the domestic cricket and make a comeback stonger and better.
