Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace has ensured that with the remaining four matches, they can get the maximum 79 points in the Premier Legaue.
Jakub Kiwior’s opened the scoreline for Arsenal in the third minute. Eberechi Eze levelled the scoreline in the 27th minute.
Leandro Trossard finished the first half with a 2-1 lead. However, Jean-Philippe Mateta added a late goal in the 83rd minute and cost the Gunners three crucial points.
Liverpool, after 33 points, have collated 79 points. LFC does have a better goal advantage than the Gunners.
But a draw or victory in the remaining five matches will make them the English champions for the 20th time.
The Reds will face Tottenham Hotspur in the PL on Sunday. Winning the game against Spurs at Anfield will make manager Arne Slot win his first English top-flight title.
However, Arsenal can still win the Champions League. They will face Paris Saint-Germain in the UCL. Not to forget that the Gunners have never won the Champions League or European title (major) in their history.
This will also be Liverpool’s second-ever PL title, having won the first one in the 2019-20 season under Jurgen Klopp.
