Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has set the stage well in the 2024-25 Premier League season. The Swedish international has scored 17 goals in 23 appearances this season.
Isak’s impact is helping the Magpies fight for the Champions League spot, with 41 points in 25 games (7th position) and just four points behind the fourth-placed Manchester City.
Isak joined Newcastle Utd in 2022 from Real Sociedad. Even in the 2023-24 season, Isak hit 20 goals in 30 matches.
Seeing the consistency of the 25-year-old striker, Liverpool are ready to offer their striker and Darwin Nunez plus a cash deal to get the former Willem II striker.
Newcastle United have set the price tag of £100m-plus for Isak. Hence, Liverpool want to offload Nunez to the rival Premier League side along with some good sums.
Despite LFC leading the title race, Darwin has scored just four goals in 20 matches. Nunez joined Liverpool in 2022 but has not scored more than 11 goals in a season PL season.
Liverpool are leading the PL title race with 60 points in 25 games, seven points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
In 75 PL apps, Alexander Isak has scored 48 goals and five assists.
