Matheus Cunha is in progressive talks to join Manchester United from Wolves. As per Fabrizio Romano: “Cunha said yes to Man United even before the UEL final, his contract is being checked by lawyers and it will be valid until June 2030 plus option.”
It is a deal that United have been chasing for the last six months. The forward’s landing cost at Old Trafford is around £62.5m.
The Brazil striker had a productive 2024-25 Premier Legaue season, blasting 15 goals and six assists in 33 appearances.
Despite not offering any European action next season, MU are attracting players from different clubs. In the last 10 years, it has not been usual for Man United to get their deals done at the start of the summer transfer market. But in 2025, it seems to change a bit.
Cunha is only 26 years old, and his peak years are ahead of him, something MU might be able to use well.
Even in the 2022-33 season, the Brazil international scored 12 goals for Wolves.
