Andrew Robertson praised his teammate and (fellow) full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has officially decided to leave Liverpool this summer.
However, many of the LFC fans have not taken it well. On social media, they have shown disapproval of his decision.
In Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool have lost one of the top right-backs in the world. But Left-back Robertson wants the club to send the England international on a fine note for his next chapter.
He told Sky Sports: “He will be missed for me as one of my best friends in the game. We’ve done it all together. He’s took me to levels I never knew existed. It hasn’t been an easy one for Trent but he has made the decision.”
During Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal, the fans of Liverpool did boo Alexander-Arnold for his take on possibly joining Real Madrid.
It is also worth remembering that he is leaving the club as a free agent. So in return, the club can’t get the transfer fee for their homegrown player.
