Sports administrator Rajiv Shukla has the best chances of taking over the role of the interim BCCI president, as Roger Binny will be 70 years old next month.
Binny, who played an active role in making India win the 1983 ICC Cricket World Cup, was born on 19 July 1955 in Bengaluru.
The BCCI’s rules are clear that at 70, one has to part ways as a cricket administrator. Shukla is working as the BCCI vice-president at present.
He was elected as BCCI vice-president in 2020. Until 2018, he worked as the chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Shukla is famous for being one of the most experienced cricket administrators.
