Faf du Plessis gets a major responsibility ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025. The former South Africa skipper gets the position of vice-captain at the Delhi Capitals.
Du Plessis came forward on social media, sharing this mega update with the fans (DC’s X).
The 40-year-old batsman joined the DC after they paid INR 2cr in the last IPL auction, where he was released by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru; who will kick start the 2025 IPL in the opening contest against Kolkata Knight Riders on the 22nd of March away from home.
Du Plessis has a lot of experience playing in the IPL. He had also been a part of the Chennai Super Kings and the Rising Pune Supergiant.
In 2022, he was named as the captain of the RCB too. Du Plessis’ leadership skills would help Axar Patel, who will lead the DC and for the first time in the IPL as captain.
