Coco Gauff beat France’s Lois Boisson 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the French Open final. The 21-year-old will now face Aryna Sabalenka in the final on Saturday.
World number 1 Sabalenka is a three-time Grand Slam winner, having won the Australian Open twice (2023, 2024) and the US Open in 2024.
Gauff has the chance to win her second major of her pro tennis career. In 2023, she was crowned the US Open winner. Sabalenka defeated Iga Swiatek 7-6, 4-6, 6-0 to reach the final.
Both female tennis stars have an opportunity to win their maiden French Open title. In 2022, Gauff played in the French Open final where she lost to Swiatek 6-1, 6-3.
For Sabalenka, it is the first time being in the French Open final.
