Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly agreed the contract terms with Real Madrid, as per Sky Sports Switzerland. It is being told to be a five-year deal.
Alexander-Arnold’s contract is set to expire this summer, meaning he is joining the next club for free. The 26-year-old full-back made his debut for the Reds in 2016.
Over the last eight to nine years, there have been questions on his defending. However, the England international’s stats going forward are amazing.
In 254 Premier League outings for LFC, Alexander-Arnold has scored 17 goals and provided 64 assists. In the 2019-20 season, he won PL “Young Player of the Season” award.
As he has refused to sign new deal with Liverpool, they are looking for several options to fill his space next season.
However, there are high chances of him winning the PL title this season. Liverpool hold a massive 12-point lead over second-placed Arsenal and are a few games away from landing the mega title back in Liverpool.
This would be Alexander-Arnold’s second PL title, having won one in the 2019-20 season.
