Andreas Christensen wants to fight hard for his place at Barcelona rather than leaving the club this summer, as per AS.
The Danish defender joined the Spanish giants from Chelsea in 2022. Other than spending two seasons on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach from 2015 to 2017, he was a part of Chelsea from 2014 to 2022.
Christensen’s contract will expire at FCB next summer (2026). Despite playing once in La Liga this season, the 29-year-old centre-back is confident about making a stronger comeback to the starting XI.
Defenders Inigo Martinez and Ronald Araujo are the current favourites of head coach Hansi Flick at FCB.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are set to face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at Estadio La Cartuja.
