Manchester United are looking to give a hard fight to Paris St-Germain and Barcelona for signing midfielder Stanislav Lobotka from Napoli, as per Tuttomercato.
Lobotka, who is a defensive midfielder, played a substantial role in helping Napoli win the 2022-23 Serie A season.
The 30-year-old joined the Blues in 2020 from Celta Vigo. Since then, he has appeared 157 times for Antonio Conte’s side in the Italian top-flight.
30 June 2027 is the final date of his current deal with Naopli, having the right to extend the contract for another year.
As per various sources, he is being rated at around £40m. Lobotka made his debut for Slovakia in 2016, scoring four times in 67 appearances.
Meanwhile, Napoli are fighting hard alongside Inter Milan for the 2024-25 Serie A title.
They are second in the table, with 71 points from 33 games. Inter have also bagged 71 points, having a better goal advantage.
