Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is pleased with the Premier League manager of the season nomination.
Howe is getting a massive challenge for his title from Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, who has won the PL title in his first season.
Howe said: “I always think it’s nice to be nominated for different things because ultimately it hopefully means you’ve had a successful season so I’m proud to be on that list.”
Howe has helped Newcastle win the 2024-25 League Cup, beating Liverpool 2-1 in the final in March.
The former Bournemouth manager has a chance to get a Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 season, holding the third spot with 66 points from 36 games.
With just two games left in the PL season, there is are high chance of the Magpies finishing inside the top five.
Newcastle’s Sunday clash is against Arsenal in North London. Then Howe’s side will face Everton at home on 25 May (Sunday).
