Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique is impressed with Arsenal’s overall squad approach.
Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain are set to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (29 April). The first leg is taking place in North London, and the away match will happen (Paris) on 7th May.
Neither Paris Saint-Germain nor Arsenal have not won the Champions League/European major title yet. This makes the semi-final tie utterly crucial for both teams.
Enrique said: “They (Arsenal) are built as a team with collective strength – you can see that from the way they attack and defend.”
“They do everything together. Of course, they have some top-level players, just like we do, but they don’t rely on just one player. They have had injuries throughout the season but they continue to perform at a high level.”
Enrique has experience of winning the UCL with Barcelona in the 2014-15 season. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reached the UCL semis for the first time.
Arsenal last reached the UCL final in 2006, where Barcelona beat them 2-1. PSG did reach the UCL final for the first time in 2020, losing to Bayern Munich 1-0.
