Former Inter Milan attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has said that there are high chances of him leaving Manchester United this summer.
He even made it clear that there is no plan of returning home, Danmark.
Eriksen joined the Red Devils in 2022. Since joining the 13-time Premier League winners, the 33-year-old attacking midfielder has scored just two PL goals in 66 appearances (overall).
The Denish International is on national duty for the UEFA Nations League quarters, where Danmark will lock horns against Portugal in a two-legged contest.
Eriksen said to TV2: “I haven’t been told anything and since I haven’t, I assume the collaboration will end.”
“That’s how I interpret it. Everyone knows my contract is expiring, so I expect there’s only one way this will go.”
Eriksen’s contract is expiring with Man Utd in the summer of 2025. The former Spurs star is getting game time under manager Ruben Amorim. However, there is no update from Man United’s side for keeping him at the club beyond this season.
