Idrissa Gueye, 35, might be landing a new deal at Everton soon, as per Football Insider. His present contract is set to expire on 30 June 2025.
Hence, the Toffees are looking to extend his stay for some more seasons. Gueye rejoined Everton in 2022 from Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, he has been one of the players who have prevented them from getting relegated.
His first spell at Everton was from 2016 to 2019. Back then, the Senegal international was seen as one of the top holding midfielders in the world.
At Paris Saint-Germain, Gueye spent three seasons from 2019 to 2022. He has played 33 times in the Premier Legaue for Everton this season, showing his overall importance.
Gueye made his debut for Senegal in 2011, appearing 120 times (seven goals).
