Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has returned from injury, making a return in Saturday’s crucial clash against relegated Southampton away from home.
Ahead of facing the Saints, City boss Pep Guardiola told the media about the injury update of the star striker.
Haaland has been out of action since March, getting injured against Bournemouth in the FA Cup. It means the former Borussia Dortmund striker will be available for Man City’s FA Cup final clash against Crystal Palace on May 17.
Despite Man City having a poor PL season, Haaland has not given up the habit of scoring goals. 21 goals in just 28 PL matches picture another great season for the Norwegian international.
Guardiola said: “He is ready, he is fit. [If he will] start, we will see tomorrow.”
As the top five teams can qualify for the Champions League, third-placed Man City, with 64 points in 35 games, hold some comfort.
But they are just four points ahead of seventh-placed Aston Villa. This is why the remaining three games of the domestic league season have become crucial for the Sky Blues.
The two matches after Southampton for Man City in the PL are Bournemouth (Home) and Fulham (Away).
