Joaquin Niemann won the 2025 LIV Golf Mexico City on Sunday. This was his third win of the season, opening the doors for the US Open at Oakmont in June.
Niemann did score a six-under 65. It did include seven birdies and one bogey. The event took place at Club de Golf Chapultepec. His previous two wins came in Singapore and Adelaide.
The United States Golf Association has allowed the LIV Golf table-topper until May 19 to take part in his major competition.
“My team was asking me to sign up for the qualifier and the sectional, and I wasn’t really into that, so more than anything I’m grateful that I’m not playing 36 holes on a Monday after a tournament,” he said. “I’m pretty happy.”
Before the start of the final day at the LIV Mexico City, Bryson DeChambeau had a two-shot lead over Niemann.
DeChambeau did finish joint-second alongside Lucas Herbert. Famous golfer Jon Rahm came fourth on the list.
