Jan Paul van Hecke is the latest player that Liverpool wish to add this summer, as per GiveMeSport. The Reds are doing too well in the Premier League this summer, being favourites now to win the title.
However, there host of their defenders are going to leave the club after this season. The very take has made the Reds tempted to add new and bright talent.
Brighton & Hove Albion signed Van Hecke in 2020. He did first spend two seasons on loan. The 2020-21 season was at Heerenveen. The following season, he made a move to Blackburn Rovers.
However now he is one of the key players of the Brighton squad. The 24-year-old centre-back made his debut for the Netherlands in 2024.
He still has a long-standing deal with Brighton & Hove Albion until the summer of 2027. In just 29 PL games, Liverpool have earned 70 points this season.
However as Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and other defenders might leave the club in the summer, this gives them even a push ahead to sign new signings for years to come.
