Arne Slot’s Liverpool are monitoring the situation of the Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong, as per Caught Offside.
Frimpong is just like Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to leave the Reds for Real Madrid this summer, in terms of overall style of play. This has made Liverpool look at different options to replace the England international.
Frimpong, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, is something like Alexander-Arnold who prefers to attack from the full-back position.
The Netherlands international joined Bayer Leverkusen from Celtic in 2021. He has scored 22 times in overall 126 Bundesliga appearances.
Last season, Frimpong was one of the best players to help Xavi Alonso win the German top-flight title. However, there are a host of clubs wanting his signatures this summer.
Not to forget that Frimpong was a part of Manchester City’s youth academy from 2010 to 2019, making him understand English conditions well.
