Manchester City are hopeful to see injured Erling Haaland back in action this season. It means that the chances of him featuring at the FIFA Cup World Cup 2025 this summer are higher.
Haaland faced an injury during last Saturday’s FA Cup clash against AFC Bournemouth in the quarter-finals.
Man City won the game 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium. However, Haaland was substituted in the 61st minute.
In the 49th minute, the Norwegian striker did score the equaliser against the Cherries.
Man City, who have reached the FA Cup semis, have shared an update regarding their star striker.
Man City made a statement on Monday: “(Haaland) Will be fit to play a further part in the remainder of this season including this summer’s Fifa Club World Cup”.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker is seeing an ankle specialist to heel his injury well.
The FA Cup is the only title the Sky Blues can win this season. They are fifth in the PL table and are already out of the Champions League. The Citizines did not even win the Carabao Cup.
