Jules Kounde, who likes to play as a right-back but can adapt as a centre-back too, has attracted Arsenal to pay £55m to sign Jules Kounde, as per Sun.
In the summer of 2022, Kounde made a move to Barcelona from Sevilla. In 51 appearances in all competitions for Barca this season, the 26-year-old right-back has scored three goals and provided eight assists.
He came from the Bordeaux Football Academy in 2016, making his debut for Bordeaux II.
Kounde is a regular squad member for FCB, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2027.
Paying £55m for a right-back shows that Arsenal have seen something special in the French international.
He made his debut for France in 2021, playing 42 times for the two-time world champions.
Arsenal would mostly finish in the second spot in the Premier League. Hence, they have a high chance of offering Kounde the Champions League football next season.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will face Paris Saint-Germain at home in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.
