Thomas Muller, who is a famous football player, has made one of the major decisions of his career.
The 31-year-old forward has decided to leave FC Bayern Munich after the end of this season.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner has represented Bayern 743 times, which is the highest by any player for the mega German side.
Muller shared the news on social media, which includes X and Instagram.
Muller said: “The club has consciously decided not to negotiate a new contract with me for next season.
“Even if this did not correspond to my personal wishes, it is important that the club follows its convictions. I respect this step, which the board and supervisory board certainly did not take lightly.”
It means the FIFA Club World Cup, starting June 14, will be the last event Muller will play for Bayern.
Having made his debut in 2008 for Bayern, Muller has helped the German giants win 12 Bundesliga (11 in a row).
Other than winning two Champions League titles, he has won various other cup competitions for the FCB.
He has scored 247 goals for the Star of the South, behind only Gerd Muller (565) and Robert Lewandowski (344) (in terms of most goals scored).
