Injured Jordan Cox has a replacement in James Rew for a one-match Test battle of England against Zimbabwe later in May.
Rew is an uncapped batsman who came from Somerset’s ranks in the County Championship, having an average of 54.21.
In 2022, James Rew was the squad manager of the England Under-19 side that reached the final. Cox was injured last Sunday while facing Somerset in the County Championship.
This one-off England vs Zimbabwe clash will happen at Trent Bridge from May 22. This is one of the rare moments when Zimbabwe has played a Test in England in modern history.
For the first time since 2003, Zimbabwe will face England in England (Test).
