Adam Wharton, who has become a player Real Madrid and Barcelona are eyeing, has become a go-to player in the 2025 summer transfer market.
As per Daily Mail, Liverpool are set to battle for Wharton’s signature with mega Spanish sides.
Wharton is a 21-year-old holding midfielder, known for his ability to control the game. He joined Crystal Palace in the 2024 winter transfer market.
Wharton is being rated at £60m, having made his England debut in 2024. He came from the football academy of Blackburn Rovers, with whom the England international turned professional in 2022.
He appeared 44 times in the domestic league for the Blue and Whites from 2022 to 2024. As there is a desperate need for holding midfielders at top clubs, Wharton’s demand has taken to the next level.
With his contract with the Eagles set to expire in 2029, Oliver Glasner’s side holds the command over his transfer. They signed him in 2024 for around £18 to £22 million.
And now demanding £60m tells how well this signing has turned out to be for the London side.
