Nathan Ake is undergoing surgery on his fractured foot, making him out of the action again. In last weekend’s FA Cup fifth-round win of Manchester City versus Plymouth, Ake made an appearance but had to face another injury.
On Monday, it led Ake to do an operation. He did share the update on his social media.
“This has been such a frustrating season for me but I have now had a successful surgery on a fracture in my foot, which has been bothering me for months,” he said.
In the 2024-25 season, the Dutch international has appeared just 18 times for the Sky Blues due to injury issues.
His defensive partners John Stones and Manuel Akanji were not able to face Plymouth due to injuries. Ake, who joined Man City from Bournemouth in 2020, is one of the most trusted players of manager Pep Guardiola.
