Jonathan David is a striker that West Ham United are looking to make an important part of their squad next season.
According to Jonathan David, the Hammers are in advance talks with the Canadian international to move to London.
However, Barcelona and Arsenal are two clubs that are monitoring the situation of Jonathan, who is free to leave Lille after the end of the season.
Jonathan made a move to Lille from Gent in 2020. In 168 Ligue 1 appearances, the 25-year-old has scored 84 goals. His form in the 2024-25 is sensational, scoring eight goals in the Champions League and 13 goals in Ligue 1.
Jonathan made his national (senior) debut in 2018, scoring 31 goals in 59 outings.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League, collecting just 33 points in 27 games. Hence, Graham Potter’s side are looking for new faces who can stand out in the final third in the 2025-26 season.
