The Minnesota Timberwolves outdid the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA playoffs first round. The Timberwolves won the series 4-1, with the final match victory of 103-96 at the Crypto.com Arena.
It was a shocking exit for basketball legend LeBron James, who was not able to prevent the Los Angeles Lakers from progressing to the next stage.
James, 40, has now finished 22 seasons in the NBA. He was aiming to win the fifth series of his professional career, having won the glory in 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2020.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat star is leading the chart of NBA’s all-time leading scorer. Last year, he signed a two-year contract extension with the Lakers.
After facing a humiliating NBA exit, James was asked about his next move.
He said: “I don’t know.
“It’s something that I will sit down with my family, my wife, and my support group and kind of just talk through and see what happens, and just have a conversation with myself on how long I want to continue to play.”
The four-time NBA Finals MVP created history this season after playing with his son, Bronny. It was something the NBA never saw.
