In the summer of 2025, German giants Bayern Munich are looking to offload some of the high-profile names. It was the 2023-24 season when Bayer 04 Leverkusen ended Bayern’s long run of winning multiple Bundesliga titles.
Even this season Bayern are not too ahead of Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, with 55 points in 22 games. They are only eight points ahead of the second-placed Leverkusen in the 2024-25 season.
Bayern’s head coach Vincent Kompany is looking to offload some of the established players; Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman and Bryan Zaragoza – as per Daily Briefing by Christian Falk.
Out of these four footballers, midfielder Goretzka and forward Gnabry are regular starting XI players.
With this move, it appears that Kompany aims to change major parts of the team and bring fresh names to the squad.
This season, Gnabry has scored just four times in 15 Bundesliga appearances. For a quality forward like him, the fans of the club feel that he can do better.
In the 2019-20 season, Goretzka, Gnabry and Coman played key roles in making them win their sixth European title (Champions League).
However, the same form they were carrying back then is not reflected now. Losing the German top-flight title last season was also a major hit in these major changes.
