It was a historic win for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Mumbai Indians by 16 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
RCB won the IPL game at the Wankhede for the first time in 10 years.
Mallya, who was the owner of RCB when they last won the game against MI at Wankhede in 2015, did express his views on X.
He also suggested Bangalore play bold for the remainder of the 2025 IPL season.
Mallya said: “Congratulations to RCB for the magnificent win over MI at their Wankhede fortress after 10 long years. I was at the game in 2015 but never imagined it would take so long to win again. Great batting and gritty bowling shows fantastic team spirit and balance. Play Bold.”

Mallya, who left India for the United Kingdom in 2016, was a well-respected name and businessperson in India.
However, he did fail to pay massive loans to Kingfisher Airlines and went away from the country. As a result, he did lose his command of RCB too in 2016.
