Inter Milan played one of the best games in the Champions Legaue history, and the three-time European champions reached the final.
Just like the first leg of the semis, Milan’s second leg saw a rain of goals. Last week, the opening leg finished with a thrilling 3-3 draw.
The home side started the game well, scoring two goals in the first half. Lautaro Martinez blasted the opener in the 21st minute, and Hakan Calhanoglu’s 45th-minute penalty gave Inter a 5-3 lead overall.
Baca came back stronger in the second half, courtesy of Eric Garcia, Dani Olmo, and Raphinha scoring one goal each.
As Barca had a 6-5 lead in the 87th minute, some Inter fans started to leave the stadium. But Francesco Acerbi scored the equaliser in 90+5 minutes, taking the game to extra time.
Davide Frattesi blasted a goal in the 99th minute and made Inter win 7-6 on aggregate. Lamine Yamal was close to scoring the goal, but the Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer stayed strong and made a crucial impact.
Inter will face the winner of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. The second leg is taking place in Paris on Wednesday evening. PSG hold a 1-0 lead ahead of the second leg.
