‘Doubters to Believers’ is a brand new documentary, on Amazon Prime Video on 28 Feb 2025, showcasing the golden era of Liverpool under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
The documentary is based on German manager Klopp’s time at Liverpool. It was 2015 when Klopp joined them. Back then, the Reds did not have even one Premier League title, while rivals Man United had 13 in total.
Even the major clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City had won multiple PL titles back then. It was a Liverpool side where star striker Luis Suarez left the club, so there was nothing special left.
Not having star players made Klopp struggle a lot in the first few seasons, but his style of play was ever-so-good from the beginning.
It was the 2017-18 season when Klopp reached the Champions League final with Liverpool but lost the match to Real Madrid. In the 2015-16 season, they lost the Europa League final too against Savilla.
However, the fans of Liverpool had trust in Klopp and he managed to win them the UCL title in 2018-19. They beat Spurs in the final.
And a season later, the former Borussia Dortmund manager went on to win Liverpool’s first PL title and 19th English top-flight trophy.
He did win Liverpool two EFL Cups and one FA Cup too.
In the 2021-22 season, they reached the UCL final but this time lost to Real Madrid again.
It was the 2023-24 season when Klopp managed Liverpool for the last time, finding third in the PL table.
In fact, he has given a side to new manager Arne Slot where the Reds are leading the PL title race this season.
The documentary shows how Klopp managed to match Manchester City and other top teams without having massive sums to spend on some of the other teams.
