Manchester United manager Ruban Amorim, as per Star reports, is pushing hard to sign Geovany Quenda this summer.
Quenda plays as the right winger for Sporting CP; Amorim’s former club as manager. The Portuguese winger would cost the 13-time Premier League winners around £35m.
Quenda’s current deal with Sporting will last until Jun 30, 2027, and he is yet to make his senior national side debut.
However in 23 Liga Portugal appearances this season, the 17-year-old has scored just one goal while providing three assists.
Man United are massively struggling to find a good run in the English top-flight in the 2024-25 season. In 26 PL games, collecting just 30 points tells how bad this is going for the Red Devils.
Currently, they are standing in the 15th spot (PL table). Quenda made his professional debut in 2023 for Sporting CP B and then moved to Sporting CP in 2024.
The current manager of Man United does not seem fancy in current forwards at the club and wants to add some fresh faces for long-term growth.
