Jarrad Branthwaite is one of the rare English centre-backs that Real Madrid are looking to sign. However, Spain’s media reports are suggesting that Real Madrid do not feel comfortable with a £62m valuation.
Branthwaite, who plays for Everton in the Premier League, is being seen as one of the hottest young defenders in English football.
The 22-year-old centre-back joined the Toffees in 2022 from Carlisle United. Before becoming a crucial squad member for David Moyes’ side, Jarrad had various loan moves to different clubs Blackburn Rovers, PSV Eindhoven and Jong PSV.
Branthwaite made his PL debut for Everton in the 2019-20 season, appearing four times. But it was the 2023-24 season where he made 35 apps for Everton, scoring three times.
On 14 March 2024, Branthwaite came as a substitute for England against Bosnia and Herzegovina and earned his first cap for the national side.
Jarrad is a stall 6 feet 5 inches tall centre-back, who is known for his robust style of football.
Real Madrid want Everton to lower the £62m valuation to make the deal complete in the 2025 summer.
