Jadon Sancho, who joined Chelsea on a season-long loan from Manchester United in the 2024 summer, might not be signed by Chelsea permanently this summer.
As per Athletic, the Blues have to pay Man United £5m in case they opt-out from not making his deal permanent.
Sancho is having another poor season in England. In 23 PL outings this season, he has scored just two goals for Chelsea.
The 24-year-old winger has a contract with Man Utd, which is expiring in the 2026 summer. Chelsea’s opting out from this deal means the Red Devils have to look for a new club for the former England international.
Sanco made a move to Manchester United in 2021. However, since then, he has not been able to make a sound impact.
He had a loan move in the middle of the 2023-24 season at Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho is not in the plans of Man United. It raises a lot of questions about his future. Before 2021, he was seen as one of the top young players in the world.
