Rachin Ravindra, who is the rising cricket star from New Zealand, feels honoured to play for Chennai Super Kings.
He said this after leading CSK to their IPL opener victory over Mumbai Indians at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday (March 23).
Not only Ravindra scored a half-century, but remained unbeaten. He added 65 runs in 45 balls to make Chennai win by four wickets in 19.1 overs as they cashed the total of 156 runs set by MI.
Ravindra said: “It’s certainly an honour. They have been guys who’ve done so well. I’m definitely grateful to be in this role. We’ll take a game by game and we know it’s long tournament. So, we’ll just see what happens.”
The 25-year-old batting all-arounder joined CSK in 2024, where he added 222 runs in 10 matches. This was also the second half-century of Ravindra in the IPL, having scored one last year.
