Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim cleared the air regarding leaving the job if things remain the same next season in the domestic league.
Manchester United faced a massive 2-0 defeat at home against West Ham United last weekend, making Amorim feel utterly sad.
Ahead of Friday’s Premier Legaue game against Chelsea, Amorim told the media about not having anything in mind about quitting the club.
Amorim said: “I’m far from quitting.”
“What I’m saying is that we need to perform or else they [the club’s hierarchy] will change us. That is normal.”
Next week is the biggest of Amorim’s career as a manager, with the Red Devils battling against Tottenham Hotspur for the Europa League title in Bilbao.
Despite keeping a poor run in the Premier Legaue, winning the second biggest title in European football might help him to bring better players with a chance to offer the Champions League.
Holding the 16th position in the domestic league indicates an too poor form for the 13-time PL winners as they carry in the 2024-25 season.
