World-famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano clears that Tottenham Hotspur have no plans to sign striker Timo Werner after his loan move ends this summer.
It means Werner will return to German side RB Leipzig. The former German international arrived at Spurs as a replacement for Harry Kane.
But in 31 PL apps, he has scored two goals. But none of the goals have come in 18 English top-flight appearances.
Werner, who was once considered one of the top 10 or 15 strikers in the world, has lost his magical touch.
It started when he joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2020. However, the move did not work for the Blues and they released him two to three years later.
Just 10 goals in 56 PL apps for the Blues tell the lacklustre impact he made for the West London side. And at Spurs, his numbers are even worse.
