Novak Djokovic feels better after beating Mackenzie McDonald 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the 2025 French Open.
In the second round, the 38-year-old will battle against France’s Corentin Moutet on Thursday.
Since 2024, Djokovic has been struggling to perform well in the majors. His last Grand Slam win was the 2023 US Open.
The 24-time GS winner is aiming for his record 25th title. He last won the French Open in 2023.
He said: “Let’s see how far I can go, but I have a good feeling for now.”
Overall, even in 2025 has not given him great results, with the only boost coming from winning the ATP singles title in Geneva last week.
It was his 100th ATP singles title, which gave even better boost ahead of the French Open.
